Penn State

NCAA Didn’t do enough

Many think that no bowl appearances, cutting scholarships, and 60 million in fines are a major blow to the Penn State football program.  This may be true but the penalties were not severe enough.  Though all students and athletes at the school do not continue to be Joe Paterno supporters, most are.  And for this reason their football program needs to go away for a while.

The NCAA probably wouldn’t have gotten involved if this was all about Jerry Sandusky and his despicable actions.  No, these sanctions are a result of proof that Joe Paterno allowed Sandusky to continue his heinous crimes while he knew and did nothing.

And even with this proof, students at Penn State continue to support Paterno.  Many guarded his statue when they knew it would have to come down.  These students are extremely misguided and value football over real life, even child molestation.

Penn Sate should have lost its football program, at least for a while.  The students there really need a reality check.  And learn some life lessons.
